A Call From R4BAA to the World Community: DO NOT LET COUP WITHSTAND‏

الإثنين, 23 سبتمبر 2013 10:53 // English// 749 4

Dear Fellow Member of World Community

Greetings.

10,000+ killed, 15,000+ missing, 40,000+ injured, 25,000+ illegally detained or imprisoned, 256+ kidnapped, democratically elected president kidnapped, freely elected parliament dissolved, democratically drafted and voted on constitution suspended, 5500+homes destroyed, 125+ houses of worship destroyed, 35+ towns and villages raided and destroyed some by aerial bombardment, 17 satellite stations closed, and journalists, doctors, premeds, and rescue and ambulance crews targeted by sniper killings, are all but some of the crimes committed in broad day light live on the air in less than two months of the bloody military coup against democracy in Egypt of July 3, 2013.

Today Egypt is under occupation by criminal ruthless bloody military regime of thugs and mercenaries. The events since the July 3 bloody military coup put the entire world community in front of it's responsibility to protect the people of Egypt from the mounting crimes against humanity by the coup regime.

On January 25, 2011, the Great people of Egypt waged a stunning peaceful revolution to overthrow military dictatorship that ruled their country for over 60 years. Under military dictatorship life for Egyptians deteriorated in every aspect and ordinary Egyptians were deprived of basic rights and freedoms. Quality of life turned quite miserable, and corruption infested every level of governance and society.

The heroic January 25 revolution was centered on the demand of democracy and dismantle of the military regime and all it's structures. As transitionary period towards democracy, Egyptians have agreed to temporary administration by Supreme Council of Armed Forces (SCAF), conditional that full democracy is established through freely elected parliament, drafting new constitution, and presidential elections through free and transparent electoral process, within a short specific period of time.

By spring 2012, two chambers of parliament were elected, only to have SCAF dissolve lower House of Parliament in unprecedented executive measure relying on very controversial court ruling of unconstitutionality of election laws. Just like military high ranks, judges in Egypt were appointed by presidential executive orders of deposed Mubarak.

On June 30, 2012, president Muhammad Mursi was inaugurated as first democratically elected president ever in the history of Egypt. Faced with disastrous inheritance of deteriorating economy, and still intact institutions of the deep state of Mubarak loyalists, Mursi's task was no short of "mission impossible." Mubarak loyalist deep state is most notable in SCAF, police, court system, media, businessmen, and network of thugs and bullies throughout he country.

Nonetheless, the one year of Mursi governance has miraculously succeeded in injecting significant reforms towards democracy, rights and freedoms, solid healthier economy, more equitable and balanced system of foreign relations, education reforms, administrative reforms, and others in the young democracy.

Today as you set in your meeting, military tanks and airplanes are pounding civilians in their homes and houses of worship, babies and families burned alive, and people are kidnapped from their homes and streets.

A number of countries have admitted to funding the murderous bloody military coup in Egypt, including United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Jordan, and Israel.

On behalf of the Egyptian people and the entire world community we demand the UN General Assembly to take the swift following measures in support of the people of Egypt:

1. Suspend membership of Egypt in all UN bodies, and limit Egyptian representation to representatives appointed by the democratically elected president Dr. Muhammad Mursi.

2. Immediate dispatch of human rights observers to monitor coup crimes against the defenseless people of Egypt.

3. Setting up impartial independent investigative committee into all crimes committed since June 30, 2013. Treating virtually the entire country as crime scene, including but not limited to, Rabaa, Nahda, Republican Guard, Monument, Ramsis, Giza, Dair Mwas, Delga, Alexandria, Matrouh, Arish, Rafah, Sheikh Zuwayyid, Biir AlAbd, Kerdasa, Menya, Ismailiyyah, Port Said, Suez, Mansoura, Tanta, Damanhour, Assiout, Sohag, Mahalla, Kafr AlShaikh, Alf Maskan, and the mass graves in military sites of AlMaza, Gabal AlAhmar, and others.

4. Demand immediate release of the kidnapped elected president, parliament members, and all political prisoners, journalists and activists.

5. Full restoration of Democracy, namely the elected President, elected parliament, and the voted on constitution.

6. End the coup and reverse all it's measures.

7. Ensure full dismantle of deep state of deposed dictator Hosni Mubarak, much of which is tied to the United States and other countries supporting the coup.

8. Set up special tribunals to all those found guilty of crimes against the Egyptian people and their great Jan25 revolution.

9. Full compensation for all crimes committed since the ouster of Mubarak.

10. Full accountability and return of all money and assets of deposed Mubarak regime, including but not limited to, all assets moved and hidden by President Obama's envoy to Mubarak on January 29, 2011, Ambassador Frank Weisner.

Dear fellow UN member.

A democratic Egypt is central to world peace and stability for which our assembly is intended. After heroic decades of peaceful endurance, Egyptian people finally deserve basic entitlement to their own free well and to have their votes and ballet boxes both respected and protected. In the 21st century subjugation of entire population to forceful military rule should no longer be allowed or tolerated.

The Egyptian people look up to the world community to do the right thing. Expel coup representatives and stand with the people of Egypt in their demand for a life with freedom and dignity. Thousands of us have given up their lives taking bullets to their bare chests so our children may grow up in freedom, dignity, democracy, justice, and a state of law.

We do trust our fellow humans will do the right thing, and look forward to resume our role towards a world of peace, harmony, and peaceful co-existence.

Thank you so much for your support
